3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
3.1 Exposure Standards
An exposure standard has not been established for this product however the following is recommended for nuisance dust : TWA = 10 mg/m3 Sulphur Dioxide : TWA = 2 ppm (5.2 mg/m3) STEL = 5 ppm (13 mg/m3)
3.2 Engineering Controls
Ensure workplace is well ventilated to maintain air concentrations below the exposure standards.
3.3 Personal Protection
If necessary use an antidust mask or a filter mask for solid particles. Wear safety glasses with side shields. Follow precautions normally adopted for handling chemical products. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling and before work breaks, eating, drinking, smoking and using toilet facilities.

4.1 Storage / Transport
This product is not classified as a dangerous good under the provisions of the n Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail. Store in a cool, dry area. 4.3 Spills and Disposal
Spills
Clean up personnel should wear full protective clothing including breathing apparatus. Avoid raising dust. Prevent product from entering sewers or water courses.
Sweep up large spills with dust binding agent or use a vacuum cleaner. Small spills may be flushed away with copious amounts of water; or rinsed with water and treated by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide. Collect large spills and hold for waste disposal.
Disposal
Dispose of in accordance with all Local, State and federal regulations at an approved waste disposal facility by incineration or to and approved landfill.
4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD Fire / Explosion
Avoid acids, and oxidising agents. Dangerous reactions occur with nitrites, nitrates, oxidising agents and acids. Hazardous decomposition products include sulphur dioxide (after reacting with acids). Hazardous polymerisation has not been reported.

Other Information
The product should never enter wastewater streams without pretreatment. The degradability test cannot be conducted as the product is inorganic. The substance may consume oxygen in effluent treatment plants. The degradation activity of the activated sludge in effluent treatment plants should not be affected. Sulphur dioxide may be evolved in acidic solutions. Observe local effluent discharge regulations. Harmful effects on fish : acute toxicity at 100 - 1000 mg/l Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) : 125 mg O2/g product.
